Preliminary Exercise Feedback and Learner Response

Preliminary Exercise Feedback and Learner Response

The preliminary exercise is a brilliant opportunity to learn the basics of film making/print before creating your actual coursework project. You now need to create a blog post called 'Preliminary exercise learner response' and complete the following tasks as your feedback and learner response:

1) Type up your teacher's feedback in full. If you've received your feedback via email, you can simply cut and paste it from the email into your blog.

WWW:

1. Chea, well done for filming such a wide range of footage for your music video (the more the better) when it comes to filming

2. You have a good and solid foundation of editing as demonstrated by your preliminary exercise – now to recreate this for your real coursework production

Next steps:

1. Although you have lots of footage, there is perhaps too much of the recordings of the performance of Stray Kids – how can you retell the narrative without using too much of their live performances?

2. Remember not too have too many gaps in your timeline sequence and also remember that it is your responsibility to export your final production and save it somewhere appropriate

2) Using a combination of your own reflection on the preliminary exercise and the feedback you were given, write two WWW bullet points (What Went Well) and two Next Step bullet points for your preliminary exercise.

WWW:
1. I believe that I will be able to have a good amount of angles and representative scenes in my music video.

2. My music video contains a good story telling and have an understandable view on what it is trying to suggest

3) What have you learned from the preliminary exercise that will help you in the actual coursework project? List three things you have learned or will do differently as a result of this exercise. You may want to comment on organisation, actors, filming, editing or something else entirely but be specific.

1. Although Stray Kids are almost partial protagonists of the representative story of my music video I've already decided to put them into a minimal amount of clips compared to the other views of the music video that will be shown.

2. My main focus is to make more representative clips for the music video to push the main idea of it further the main plot being 'Trying to find where you most belong'' (This is shown in clips of the protagonists different points of view of their life, and eventually they'll come to the conclusion hence why Stray Kids quite involved).

3. Finally my main goal is to make the make the music video stand out to the best of it's ability through different views of understanding some things being more shown than others of the protagonists life.
