Advertising assessment: Learner response


1) Type up your WWW/EBI feedback in full (you don't need to write the mark and grade if you want to keep this confidential). 

WWW: Chea, good narrative knowledge of the Galaxy CSP
EBI: You ae not fully answering the Q's (Questions) being asked - ensure you take time to consider your response. Some exam practise would benefit you.

3) Look specifically at question 2 - the OMO 12-mark question. Pick out three points from the mark scheme that you didn't include in your answer. 

4) Now look at question 3 - on the NHS Represent advert. Use the mark scheme to identify one way the advert subverts stereotypes of race/ethnicity and one way it might reinforce stereotypes of race/ethnicity. Try and write points you didn't include in your original answer if you can.

5) Finally, look at question 4. Use the mark scheme to identify three points you could have made regarding the key messages in the Galaxy advert with regards to genre, narrative and intertextuality.

WWW: You are able to identify the connotations in relation to the Water Aid advert and what camera angles represent for the unseen media product.   Blog feedback and Learner response I think my strongest piece of Media work this month is the Stranger Things Mise-en-scene work, However I believe the one I potentially struggled with the most was the Doctor Who camerawork analysis. I also believe I have to be more descriptive when presenting my work. WWW: A brilliant start to Media Studies – well done for completing all your blog work! Your fruit bowl is creative and well designed and showcases your technical ability. It is promising that you are aiming for a top Grade for your GCSE grade – let’s achieve this! I really enjoy the Black Pink unit of work too so hopefully you do too! EBI: Ensure that you complete all blog work is completed to a high standard and complete any extension work if you would like to achieve a top grade in the subject. For the camerawork blog could you use the Snipping Tool to screenshot the different camera shots you’ve analysed.
