1) How does this His Dark Materials trailer meet the conventions of a TV drama series?

His Dark Materials establishes long journey including her strengths and other things which is what makes the drama a drama (E.g. CLAMPS and Mise-En-Scene).

2) What genre (or genres) are suggested by this His Dark Materials trailer?

Fantasy and dramas are suggested by the his dark materials as the series itself contains the same kind of genres.

3) What kind of characters and narratives are introduced in this trailer?

The characters are presented to seem dominant, fearless and courageous yet the narratives are based off science fiction 

4) What settings appear in the trailer?

Settings that appear in the trailer is background, characters, props and setting. The main setting that the series has includes a steampunk type of vibe.

5) Who do you think the target audience for His Dark Materials is? Give reasons for your answer.

I think the audience would most likely be potential children, teenagers, young adults and maybe adults (but it's not likely) because it seems that the characters, storyline, setting and extra fits the ages to entertain children and give them a more human movie/series to expand on, teenagers and young adults to educate as it's a useful series to use to educate from both a child, teen and adult perspective and adults because it can be entertaining and it could get their peers and them to expand on what they watch.

My 1st Media Blog

  1) Which part of Media are you looking forward to the most? I am looking forward to watching Music Videos the most (BLACKPINK How You Like That). 2) What knowledge and skills do you hope to learn in Media? I hope to learn more about how media works and the things that come with it (Films, Music Videos and Games). 3) What grade are you realistically hoping to achieve in Media? I am hoping with enough knowledge I can achieve to get a grade 7, 8 or 9 4) What device do you use most to access the media? (The media = news, TV, music, film, social media etc.)  I would either use my phone or laptop to access media the most. 5) What is your average 'screen time' (or equivalent) on your phone each day.   Blog feedback and Learner response I think my strongest piece of Media work this month is the Stranger Things Mise-en-scene work, However I believe the one I potentially struggled with the most was the Doctor Who camerawork analysis. I also believe I have to be more descriptive when presenting my work. WWW: A brilliant start to Media Studies – well done for completing all your blog work! Your fruit bowl is creative and well designed and showcases your technical ability. It is promising that you are aiming for a top Grade for your GCSE grade – let’s achieve this! I really enjoy the Black Pink unit of work too so hopefully you do too! EBI: Ensure that you complete all blog work is completed to a high standard and complete any extension work if you would like to achieve a top grade in the subject. For the camerawork blog could you use the Snipping Tool to screenshot the different camera shots you’ve analysed.
